READ THIS REVIEW: because it about the greatness. 100/10 recommendations. First off Sandy and her staff are amazing. Secondly, the food is beyond comparison for other beasts rows in the full extent of the keys. The setting is inside of a nursery that has tropical plants artwork, and everything you could want in a perfect afternoon. The menu items are incredible. We ate our entire body weight and food and absolutely loved all the local sourcing quality items. There were dietary restriction menu options available Anything was customizable and just again the flavors were incredible. Everything that you want in a relaxing Sunday afternoon, completely healthy, lunch brunch or just coffee spot surrounded by music, delightful people, chickens, and some of the most beautiful flowers around.. this is amazing venue sets the tone and we live down the road and can’t get enough. Stop for the incredible baked goods the muffins that are put into the oven and served with a delicious whipped butter are amazing to go with the actual glass and linen napkins you served with for your coffee smoothie or any other beverage. They support first responders and truly understand what a garden bistro should be.
What a great little hidden gym. Right about mile marker 86 is a garden center called Island home. And inside the beautiful gardens where almost everything is for sale you will find the little bistro. It’s open early for breakfast so that’s great if you’re driving down, and want to stop on your way further south. Lots of fun things on the menu and the seating area makes you feel like you are in a tropical garden, even though it’s right on the highway. their coffee drinks and smoothies are delicious and their food tastes homemade. Great place to bring kids because they can visit the exotic chickens on site.
We had a 10/10 breakfast this morning. We were met with extremely friendly and relatable staff when we walked up, I wish we asked for their names!! The girl at the register was very informative and kind. Our food was outstanding. We ordered the tuna avocado toast, breaky sandwhich, and the painkiller waffle. We loved every bit. Very flavorful and satisfying. We also ordered coffees and loved them too!! I’ve read a lot of reviews from people complaining about the 18% auto tip. Please know it is so clearly written!! not only written but the staff also makes a point in being very clear about its existence. We had 0 problem with it and were happy to tip extra on top. We fell in love with the atmosphere instantly as we walked in. It’s so beautiful. Being surrounded by a lush garden while enjoying a meal, the breeze, and some adorable locals (the chickens ) was so much fun. definitely will be back and will be sending everyone I can that way :)
Incredible. The sweetest staff, delicious foods, and peaceful ambience. They definitely think of everything.. for example: I ordered a cookie and they heated it up and served it with homemade whipped cream. I’m telling you nothing missed. I got a salad and my boyfriend got the avocado toast. Both better than expected. Great place to bring kids but also big enough restaurant that if you want a quiet business meeting, you could easily come here. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Absolutely magical and charming! The staff was amazing, and the food was fantastic—I’ve never experienced anything like it. My wife and I are avid gardeners, and we do all our own hardscaping and landscaping. Discovering such a special breakfast spot in the middle of a beautiful plant nursery felt like heaven to us. I can’t recommend this location enough! We had a wonderful time, and even the live chickens and butterflies added to the enchanting atmosphere.
Very chill and natural atmosphere. Fresh food & fruit. Large & beautiful outdoor garden space to explore. They have comforatble seating, plants & planters for sale, bunnies, a cat, some chickens, and small & friendly lizards that live on site. Staff is super sweet and friendly. They add gratuity to their food purchases, which is worth it. Perfect date spot!!!
We had such a wonderful experience! The setup is beautiful, you’re immersed in nature, and the entire place is so pretty and thoughtfully maintained. The atmosphere feels peaceful and eco-friendly, and the service was polite and kind from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and so creative. You can really tell that every ingredient is fresh and healthy. We tried The Breaky Glizzie, which is their elevated take on a hot dog, the sausage was bursting with flavor! I also ordered The Breaky Sandwich with avocado, and it was perfect, delicious bread, great portion size, and so satisfying. For dessert, we had a chocolate chip cookie, and it was incredible! Everything felt made with care and love. We’re already looking forward to coming back
Loved it here. Super cute aesthetic. Food was great. We had a BLT, the deviled egg toast and a couple of ice coffees. The toast was interesting, lots of dill, but not bad. Would probably try a different toast next time. Nice, quick, and easy for our long day of island hoping down to key west. The garden center is pretty cool and has some neat stuff.
